This was spectacular in person especially that we had the park to ourselves. I remember having to set up the tripod quickly as we were losing light by the minute. This shot was taken at La Pine State Park Oregon, only minutes from Sunriver Resort. More on the park here . (Pentax K10d 16-45 f4)

Timberline Lodge With Hood (Duotone)
This grand lodge was founded in 1935 and is currently an Oregon historic landmark.This lodge should stand as a template to which all other lodges should aspire to. Built with massive timbers and decorated with antique ski related paraphernalia and photos this lodge really gives the feel of warmth and history. The center piece of the lodge is the massive stone fireplace that can be seen from any of the three levels. To date six different films have been shot in portions at Timberline Lodge to include The Shining with Jack Nicholson.
